The Board of Trustees of the Brooklyn Museum of Art thought it was time to change it up in the Executive Office for incoming museum Director Anne Pasternak. The Trustees were looking for something that said Brooklyn and reflected the energy and passion Anne was bringing to the office.
The storage rooms of the museum were raided for deaccessioned items that could move into the Executive offices to create a lively mix of new and old art and new and old furnishings. The Dec Arts mash-up was made.
